Carmel lives in Leitrim Village and is a native of Keadue, Co Roscommon.

Carmel has exhibited in group exhibitions featuring work on many of the characteristic spots in and around her native Keadue and throughout County Roscommon and County Leitrim.

She is self taught and produces spectacular landscapes of rural scenes and still life in Acrylic, Watercolor and Mixed Media.

Most of Carmel's work at present is from private and public commissions, one which included President McAleese.

She has exhibited it the Dock, Carrick-on-Shannon, Taylors Art Gallery, Sligo and Galleries in Leitrim and Roscommon.

Carmel, with another colleague, held an exhibition of all their works in 2004, which was a great success and resulted in a number of commissions,

She hopes to have another exhibition in the near future.
